2. Club Sign-Ups Students: Please WRITE down the name and the sponsor of the club you wish to join. During open club sign-ups (THURSDAY AND FRIDAY), you will go to that sponsor’s room/OFFICE to sign up in order to join. Club availability is on first come, first serve basis, unless otherwise noted.

3. Beta Club • Beta is a national honor organization that focuses on service to the community and to the school. • Fees: $17 for local and state dues. • Sponsor: McPhetridge • Room: Cafeteria

4. Recipe Club Students will bring favorite and new recipes to club meetings, cook recipes and learn basic cooking skills. Sponsor: Thompson Rm. 43

5. North Junior Optimist Club • This is a branch of London Laurel Optimist Club. • Works on different community service projects. • Sponsor: Mr. Hurley • Room 3

7. FCA Internet Club Sponsor: Mounce This club will discuss technology/faith related jobs and explore other tools online for sharing their faith. Room 33

9. The “Green Team” Pride Club • Learn how to be a responsible member of the environment. • Participate in clean-ups, public service announcements, outdoor classroom up-keep, etc. • Sponsor: Mr. Bowling • Room : Lab 2

11. Baby Sitting Training Club • Student will learn basic skills of babysitting • Students admitted by teacher recommendation only. • Limited to 15 students Sponsor: Boggs Room 10

12. Photography Club • Students will learn photography basics and advanced skills. • Sponsor: Mrs. Fietcher • Room 39

13. The Book Club • This club will allow students to read books they love and discuss careers related to creative writing. • Sponsor: Lamb • Room 9

14. Fashion Club Students will discuss and learn about fashion and careers involved with fashion. Sponsor: Cornelius Room 25

15. Hunger Games Book Club Students will explore and discuss the underlying messages and themes of The Hunger Games book. Sponsor: Hicks Room: Lab 3

16. Career Club Students will have the opportunity to investigate and learn about various careers and vocations. Sponsor: Morgan & Whitehead Sign up in library by offices

17. 4-H Club • A 4-H program with emphasis on leadership, service, and horsemanship. • Club will do service projects, field trips to farms, and have speakers! • Sponsor: Begley • Room21

18. College Ready Club A club to help students possess the skills and knowledge to be college ready. Sponsor: Pool Room: 30

24. Christian Music Club • Students will discuss the careers of Christian music artists and the different careers available within the genre of Christian music. • Sponsor: Cates • Room 7

26. Sing Star Club • Students will research American Idol winners and their careers. Students will watch YouTube video clips of their performances and study their success. • Sponsor: Napier • Room 40

27. Animation Club • This is a club for students to improve their drawing skills and to learn about careers in animation • Sponsor: Rush • Room 20

28. Arts & Humanities Club • This club will be for students interested in different careers in the arts field. • Sponsor: Hardin • Room 14

30. Library Skills Club • This club will help students develop library and reading skills. Students will also spend time learning more about the career of a librarian. • Sponsor: W. Allen • Room: Library

32. Duct Tape Crafters Club Students will learn how to create useful and fun objects from duct tape. Sponsor: Ms. Jacobs Room 15

33. UpCycled This club is for students who want to recycle old items and make them into trendy fashion items. Please bring an OLD tshirt you would like to make something out of. Sponsor: T. Allen Room 16

39. NLMSLeadership Club This club will act as an extension of the Laurel County Youth Leadership Council. Students will explore plan school activities and propose school improvement plans. This club will also participate in several school service projects. Sponsor: Calhoun Room 6

40. Civics Club Students will learn about civic careers and other civic opportunities in our community. Sponsor: Henson Room 27

41. Art Club This club is for GT Art Students or by invitation only. Members will work in groups to design and paint Rain Barrels in collaboration with the NLMS Pride Club Sponsor: Fee Room 35
