Reminders 5 themes Fairy Tale The main idea or message of the fairy tale must remain intact • You must include elements of the 5 themes of geography NATURALLY in your story.
Requirements • Story message or idea must stay the same • All themes of geography MUST be in story • Main characters MUST remain in the story • EX. Castle to tent? • Snowy mountains to tropical beaches
Let’s Breakdown the Assignment: You have 14 days! • Day 1: Select a country and a fairy tale and review fairy tales • Day 2:Gather information on the 5 themes of geography (finish for homework) • Day 3-4: Review all your work, finish any incomplete work
Let’s Breakdown the Assignment: • Day 5: Begin drafting or rewriting the fairy Tale • Day 6-7: Continue writing the fairy tale • Day 8: Review your story and identify that you have included the 5 themes • Day 9:Include anything you may have left out. • Day 10: Revise your story. (Add new words, content, move text for clearer understanding, omit any repeated words, use more specific nouns/verbs, and be sure to include strong adjectives, adverbs)
Process Continues • Day 11: Edit your paper for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation • Day 12: Add images to support your story • Day 13: Finalize your fairy tale • Day 14: Submit your fairy tale for evaluation!
