  1. Welcome / Haeremai • This tutorial will show how to : • Use Primo Library Search to : • Find e-books • Print from e-books

  2. 1. This tutorial begins at http://library.cpit.ac.nz/ or Google CPIT Library and choose the first link.

  3. 2. In Primo Library Search enter your search terms e.g. 3. Press Enteron your keyboard or click on GO to activate search. 4. To show only e-books select: a. Full Text Online b. Resource type : Books

  4. 5. e-Books have two features a.Book image b.View Online 6. To open an e-book use your mouse to right click on an e-book title. 7. Select : Open in New Window

  5. 8. Use your normal CPIT username and password to login. 9. When your e-book opens select : Read Online (Available)

  6. 10. Select any chapter from the Contents e.g. 7: Management of wounds 11. To print out a chapter select : Print

  7. 12. Select Yes (create a loan) 13. a. Tick the chapter to print. b.Choose Print selected pages

  8. 14. To return to Primo Library Search select the x in the top right corner. 15. You are now ready to begin a new search in Primo or view the other titles from your currrent search.
