I Really Enjoy Doing This-Why? • I get to talk about myself for one hour • And you have to listen! • I get to complain about my aches and pains and you have to listen (I think!) • I get discover how much you really know about my disease/injury • I get to make some new friends
BEFORE AFTER How My Injury Effected Me Physically
Things to Think About • *What is my disease/injury? • *How did it happen? • What were the symptoms? (pain, loss of feeling, etc) • Would therapy be needed? What kind? OT, PT, Acupuncture, Massage, Chiropractic, E-stem, etc.? • What would you do first if you had a patient come in at PRMC Shock Trauma and had my symptoms? • Does this type disease/injury hurt any other organs? • Do you think I am taking any medications? • If so, what kind and how much? • Do you think there are any side effects?
Other Thoughts/Questions • Do you think I required in-patient treatment? • If so, how long? • Was there any paralysis? • Out-patient treatment? How long? • Any surgeries? If so what kind, where and for what? • Any major life-threatening circumstances? • Are there any problems now?
