WHY…OH WHY…TECHNOLOGY? • To enhance the QUALITY of our student’s education!
WHY…OH WHY…COMPUTERS? • The computer is a tool far greater than just the sum of its parts!
WHY….OH WHY…EVOLVE? Teacher's Conference 1703 Principal’s Association 1815 • Students today can’t prepare bark to calculate their problems. • They depend on their slates which are more expensive. • What will they do when the slate is dropped and it breaks? • They will be unable to WRITE! • Students today depend on paper too much. • They don’t know how to write on a slate without getting chalk all over themselves. • They can’t clean a slate properly. • What will they do when they run out of paper?
WHY…OH WHY…EVOLVE? The Rural American Teacher 1928 Federal Teachers 1950 • Students today depend upon store bought ink. • They don’t know how to make their own. • When they run out of ink they will be unable to write words until their next trip to the settlement. • This is a sad commentary on modern education. • Ballpoint pens will be the ruin of education in our country. • Students use these devices and then throw them away. • The American values of thrift and frugality are being discarded. • Businesses and banks will never allow such expensive luxuries.
WHY…OH WHY…EVOLVE? • Obviously…We do not want to be LEFT BEHIND! • Do you want to go back to the days of preparing your bark? • How about making your own ink?
WHY…OH WHY…ME? • Because YOU need to take responsibility for the TOOLS that that are afforded to you…..AND….. • KEEP EM’ CLEAN!

Junk Files What are cookies? Do I need temp files? Do I want a lot of Cache?
JUNK FILES • Cookies are small text files that keep track of what pages you have visited at a website. When you return to that website it can recognize that you have been there before. • Cache is very fast memory on your CPU that allows you to move information quickly without taking all of your information through the motherboard. • Temporary Files are stored bits of data left over by improper shut downs or improperly written programs. They are stored on your hard drive and take up space.
