Targeting Activities • With regard to those termed dependent (those aged under 15 years and 65years and over) these are at a higher risk of poverty as 19.9% and 16.6% respectively and in many cases more vulnerable. This group represents 35% of the Inishowen Population. • Lone Parents - influenced by small maps data and location according to higher concentrations of lone parents. • Unemployment supports – targeted at long term unemployed according to concentration of unskilled manual labourers and small holders most likely at risk of cumulative effects of long term unemployment. • Education Supports – focused on the areas of lowest educational attainment in order to break the familial cycle of leaving the education system prematurely. • Disadvantaged Women – concentrating on those not currently participating in community structures, those most at risk of isolation including carers, early school leavers and those made redundant from the textile industry. • Disadvantaged men – promoting positive mental health in local communities. Those who traditionally have not accessed formal supports. • Youth at Risk – following from our engagement with Youthreach, Garda Liaison Officer, Community Based youth infrastructure, work in local authority housing estates, IFAN, School Completion Programme , Health promotion unit, HSE and Strengthening Families – these are identifiable through our on the ground work and community neighbourhood approach. • People with Disabilities – based on highest concentration of carers mapping. • Older People – Carers support, those older people living alone – see map and through work with our Rural Transport HSE Integrated Project
