Professional Literature • Professional journals, periodicals and books are available for check out (ex. School Library Journal, Instructor, Learning & Technology, Mailbox.) • Journals provide information on latest in technology integration, teaching strategies, information on critiques of best selling books. • Guided Reading, Dibels, Technology Integration, and Reading Renaissance books are available for check out.
Reading Renaissance, AR & STAR Rev Up For Reading Renaissance!! Getting Started! • Schedule a time for independent reading practice. • Read To and With students! • Monitor Progress!. • Set Goals, Diagnose, and Intervene! • Adjust book levels so students maintain an average of 85-92% on quizzes and are successful. • Check out, purchase and mark classroom books with AR levels. • Encourage students of read.
Laptop & Projector • A laptop and projector are available on each hall. A sign-up sheet is in place to reserve it for your use. • If the lesson requires the use of a website, you must connect the system to the network via internet cable. • Read the instructions on the laptop if you have questions. • Press the Functionand the F7 key at the same time to get the projector to project the image onto the screen.
Digital Camera • Take pictures of class for writing, classroom displays, Accelerated Reader board, PowerPoint about class or class books. • Assist students in using for special projects. • Use 3½” IBM formatted floppy disk • Use laser printer to print black and white pictures or color printer for special occasions.
SMARTBoard & Projector • Check out the board, laptop, and projector for a technology integration lesson. • Connect the board using the instructions on the cart. • Access the Internet and use such sites as; AVL, TRIP, Google, Puzzlemaker, etc. • Have children use the board as mouse to interact with the sites. (Your whole class can do an enrichment crossword puzzle together)
