Hard to believe it's been 40 years since a 26-year-old Liza Minnelli wowed the world with her stellar singing and dancing in the (first) movie version of the musical Cabaret, which landed her an Oscar. The 66-year-old donned her signature short 'do and a pantsuit when she hit the red carpet at the festival on Thursday night. The event kicked off with a screening of a newly restored version of the film. We have to say, Liza looks pretty good after all this time! (4/12/2012)
Liza's co-star Joel Grey 2013 who also won an Academy Award for his role as the master of ceremonies in the film 2013 showed up with his famous daughter, Jennifer Grey, as his date. The younger Grey was clearly impressed with the flick. \"cabaret is a masterpiece. seeing that new print on the big screen w/ liza michael york & my dad in the audience. wow,\" she tweeted the following day. Speaking of blasts from the past, \"Dallas\" castmembers Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, and Patrick Duffy hit the festival, too. The trio has joined the cast of the new version of the primetime series, which will debut in June on TNT. (4/12/2012)
The series reboot also includes some new blood, of course, in the form of Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson, who also stopped by the festival. (4/12/2012)
