  3. Enrollment Data • Currently there are 432 English Language Learners (ELLs) enrolled in USD 116 who speak 45 different languages other than English • 10.5% of total student enrollment • 52% Hispanic • 29% Asian/Pacific Islander • 11% White • 6% Black • 2% Multiracial

WEC • Two half-day Spanish Bilingual classrooms for our Spanish speaking ELLs with a certified bilingual teacher • One certified teacher working on ESL endorsement • One part-time Multicultural Coordinator • Multiple Bilingual Family Coordinators, Bilingual TA s, and Outreach workers • Bilingual Speech & Language Pathologist • WEC: 65 ELLs

Leal • Transitional Bilingual Education Program (Spanish) • K-2 Self-Contained Spanish Bilingual classrooms with certified bilingual teachers • 3-5 ESL & Spanish Bilingual classes with certified ESL and bilingual teachers • Bilingual Title I reading teacher • Bilingual Speech & Language Pathologist • Bilingual Outreach workers, Social Worker, Latino Family Liaison • Leal: 122 ELLs

King • Transitional Program of Instruction • Transitional Bilingual Education Program (Mandarin Chinese) • K-5 ESL classrooms with certified ESL teachers • K-5 Native Language instruction in 10 languages (Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian, Lao, French, Turkish, Swahili, Japanese, Indonesian) • ESL Endorsed Title I teacher • 123 ELLs
