Indigenous Center for Art and Knowledge Concept Introduction – Project Profile The Indigenous Centre for Art and Knowledge will provide all peoples to reconnect with one of the most spiritual places in Edmonton. Bringing together the historical past as well as an artistic centre piece for indigenous art in Canada. The location for the ICAK (Indigenous Centre for Art and Knowledge) building would be at the current Terrace Building (9515 107 Street) location highlighted above. Indigenous Center for Art and Knowledge Concept Concept Overview – Project Profile Building the ICAK will connect to the renewed Rossdale area and the newly designed Walterdale bridge. Imagine as you look across from the south side of the river to what will be a beautiful symbol of the past, present, and future of Edmonton. The Edmonton Rossdale Flats area was once referred to as a ‘Pehonan’. It was a spiritual and cultural location that followed protocols of peace, friendship, and harmony. Muskrat Dances

It is anticipated that completion of construction would be in 2017. This factors in the estimated demolition time of the Terrace Building.
