Lesson 2.2 WORK HISTORIESAND STABLE JOBS • Stable job = • is one that you consider to be permanent and that may last several years. • Self-direction = • means setting goals and taking steps to get there. • Promotion = • means advancement to a higher-level job or position. Chapter 2

Lesson 2.3 SCHOOL AS A WORKPLACE • School record = • a list of everything you have done during your school years, including grades, attendance, discipline record and activities. • Prospective employers will look at your school record for clues as to what kind of an employee you might be. • Now is the time to change habits and attitudes that may hold you back in the workplace.
