  1. What does a Real Estate Broker do?

  2. At DN Commercial, http://www.DNCommercial.net our clients know what we do. But occasionally someone I’ve just met will ask me “What kind of work do you do?” So let me explain. DN Commercial, aka Danny Nguyen Commercial is a real estate firm located in Houston Texas that deals primarily in commercial real estate. Brokers and agents do basically the same type of work, but brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses, which usually includes other real estate agents.

  3. Real Estate Agents must work with a broker. • Real estate brokers spend a significant amount of time looking for properties to buy or sell. They obtain agreements by owners to place properties for sale with them.  • The Real Estate Agents in the firm will also look for properties to list, but primarily work to find properties for buyers and buyers for sellers.

  4. Real Estate Broker Job Description • Real estate brokers help their clients buy and sell residential and commercial properties, where some brokers specialize in selling one type of property, others sell all types. • Real estate brokers are very similar to real estate agents, except brokers have met the licensing requirements necessary to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate agents who do not have a brokers license have to work with a broker.

  5. Work Environment and Schedule • Most real estate brokers work in an office environment, but may spend a lot of their time traveling to meet with clients, view new properties for sale, and meet with potential clients. It’s very common for real estate brokers to work more than forty hours per week.
