ADMISSIONS CRITERIA • Holistic, comprehensive and individualized reviewprocess • Six primary factors • High school grades • ACT or SAT • Rigor of Curriculum • AP, IB and/or Honors courses are strongly encouraged • A rigorous senior-year schedule is imperative! • Extracurricular activities and leadership • Essays • Letters of Recommendation • Teacher Evaluation must be from Academic Teacher • School Report (counselor) • Other factors considered • Geographic Diversity • Alumni Ties

APPLICATION CHECKLIST • The Common Application • The U-M Supplement • High school transcript • Secondary school report • Teacher evaluation • SAT or ACT w/writing test scores • Directly from the testing agency • SAT code 1839; ACT code 2062 • Application Fee of $65 ($75 for international applicants) • Home School supplement (if applicable) • International supplement (if applicable)

DEADLINES • Early Action (EA) vs. Regular Decision • All UM decisions are non-binding • EA guarantees applicants to LSA, Engineering, Nursing, Art & Design, Architecture, or Kinesiology a decision by December 24 • Applicants to School of Music, Theatre & Dance must apply by December 1st • Early Action: November 1, 2012 • Decision released no later than Dec 24, 2012 • No extra consideration is given to Early Action applicants • Regular: February 1, 2013 • Students may apply as early as they would like • Students can expect a decision no later than early April
