  2. Childhood • Paul Revere was born December 21, 1734, but some say he was born January 1, 1735 • He had eleven siblings • At age thirteen he was an apprentice silver smith to John Coney • He was also a dentist

  5. Home • The original three-story house was built about 1680. • Paul Revere owned this house from 1770–1800, although he and his family may have lived elsewhere for periods in the 1780s and 1790s.

  6. Mid Life • On August 4, 1757, Paul Revere married Sarah Orne • They had eight children, but only six survived

  7. Midnight Ride • On the night of April 18–19, 1775, just hours before the battles of Lexington and Concord, Paul Revere rode his horse warning the minute men yelling ,” the regulars are coming.” • According to an advance plan, a two-lantern signal in Boston's Christ Church (known as the Old North Church) communicated that Gage's forces were advancing by water, not land.
