Asian Ambrosia Beetle • Nursery pest in spring, at time of first flush • May attack newly planted trees any time • Pyrethroids have been effective if applied before or just after attack
Asian Ambrosia Beetle First signs of damage usually is “Toothpicks” on trunk Treat and watch. If the top wilts, cut and destroy. Any pyrethroid applied to the trunk will work.
AAB • Attacked trees do not necessarily die • Ambrosia fungus will not go systemic • If the top wilts, destroy and replace
