This study explores the use of native bats to detect the invasive Brown Marmorated Stink Bug in agricultural settings. Bats prove to be effective sentinels in identifying non-native species as prey, detecting BMSB weeks earlier than traditional monitoring tools. Molecular analysis of bat guano confirms their consumption of BMSB, highlighting the potential of bats in invasive species surveillance.
