What we learned from our teacher interviews: • Teachers want to be supported by the school and division leaders • A culture of high expectations for students is important. • Financial incentive need to be substantial
Additional Learning from School Teams: • Providing teachers with opportunities for leadership is needed. • Incentives should be based on multiple outcome measures.

Learning Leaders Teacher Incentives • $3,000 for implementing engaging instructional practices • $5,000 for meeting individual student growth goals on SOL and NWEA assessments. • Total annual incentive: $8,000
Learning Leaders Administrator Incentives • $4,000 for supporting teacher instructional growth • $6,000 for meeting school-wide and individual student learning goals and stakeholder satisfaction targets • Total annual incentive: $10,000
