Why is monitoring important? • To stay ahead of and avoid potentially critical outages or service interruptions • To be aware of changes in the operational state of your environment • To provide peace of mind and assurance knowing that services and applications are functioning properly • Having a good understanding of monitoring tasks and current operational states can ease administration and troubleshooting
