  2. Wednesday 11/6/13 Aim: How can you create a variety of lines using a Chinese Brush Painting brush stroke technique? Do Now: Read “The Four Gentleman” article and fill in the corresponding information in the web organizer. Homework: Read “Six Canons of Painting” on the project handout and answer the questions. Due in class Friday 11/8

  3. Brush Techniques • Holding the brush: Vertical: Hold the brush perpendicular to the paper (upright) Good for detail, outlines, vertical/horizontal lines Slanted: Hold brush parallel to paper Good for larger shapes Press brush down to start, pull brush off paper to finish the stroke

  4. Thursday 11/7/13 Aim: How can you use Chinese Brush Painting techniques to create the stalk of bamboo? Do Now: Watch the Bamboo Technique video and write down 3 facts from the video. Homework: Homework: Read “Six Canons of Painting” on the project handout and answer the questions. Due in class Friday 11/8
