Underground Railroad By: Anthony Michalovitz
Brief Description The Underground Railroad were secret routes and safe houses used by 19th-century black slaves in the United States to escape to free states also Canada with the help of abolitionists and allies who were sympathetic to their cause.
How Did the Underground Railroad Start Conflict in the Civil War? The Underground Railroad didn’t start the Civil War but it did cause a little bit of conflict. It was also a factor to disagreements between the North and South.
How Did it Cause Disagreements? It simply caused disagreements from the South wanting slaves. They estimated about 100,000 slaves got away in the Underground Railroad during 1810-1850. Which would obviously get the Southern States very irritated, causing the Underground Railroad to be a big factor in disagreements between the two.
