“The invisible Web comprises 7,500 terabytes of information, compared to 19 terabytes of information on the ‘surface’ Web” (Pack 2002).
The Internet The Web – what you can access through typical search engines. The Invisible Web – what is not indexed by typical search engines or is protected content.
Why the Databases on the Invisible Web Are Better Most are peer-reviewed or from more scholarly resources than what is generally found on the Internet. Evaluating the reliability of the source is much easier.
www.bisdlmc.pbworks.com This is the BISD Library Media Specialists’ Electronic Resource Toolkit wiki. Use the Child Development Resources link on the right side of the wiki to access specific resources for this assignment. So How Do I Get There?
So What Do I Do When I Find The Information I Need? Record it! The easiest way to do this is to cut and paste quotations into a Word document ALONG WITH THE CITATION! Don’t forget to save your notes/citation document for later use.
Where Do IFind This Information If I Need To Review It? On the wiki! www.bisdlmc.pbworks.com
