For Discussion… • Each Beam Monitor utilises a Hamamatsu R5900U-00-L16 PMT module • Seems to require 50Ω coaxial cable for readout via 2249W ADCs • How do we reconcile with original Beam Monitor LVDS cabling…? • Do we have the necessary power supply for these modules? • What additional hardware is required? • CAMAC interface + CAMAC crate + ADCs can be shipped to RAL from IC • Need PC + VME crate + SBS610 bus adaptor at RAL; can borrow from IC, but must return for QA testing/AFEIIt EPICS work
