Create a device that detects pulse times and heights of an input signal, and interfaces with a computer. Display the pulse information as either a histogram of pulseheights or a flux diagram. Integrate the device into the UV flux meter system, along with the USB interface and photodiode detector circuit.
Questions -How big a deal is a mac or a PC? -Does it have to be USB? What about firewire for Macs? -Do we want real-time data visualization for the MCA? For the flux meter, do we want data reading/recording only at intervals? -For the UV flux meter, can be just attach the UV photodiode circuit to the completed MCA? What changes would we have to make to the MCA? -Do we still need to do conditioning? Critical: Compare implementation strategies against requirements. Which implementation is most appropriate?
