  1. Science experiment gravity By vanny 6c

  2. Name: parachute jump Problem: what will happen if there is different size of parachute which one will fall faster? How gravity effects it? Back ground information: Gravity push and pull effect when we drop the parachute with the rock as gravity the rock has heavier mass then pull it down

  3. Hypothesis: I think the smallest parachute (10 x 10) will fall faster Identifying variable: Independent variable: the size of the parachutes Dependent variables: the time of the fall Control: the rock

  4. Materials and equipment Materials: A rock A big plastic bag A ball of string or yarn Equipment: A pair of scissors A ruler A stopwatch

  5. Procedure procedure: first prepare all your materials and equipment second make your parachutes cut the plastic bag to be a 10x10, 20x20 and 30x30 then cut a 20 cm string 12 times, make a hole in each corners of the plastic bag and stick the string third do the experiment try the smallest, tie the rock to the strings and let it fall ask a partner to record the time for the parachute to reach the ground and do the same thing repeatedly

  6. pictures

  7. Data data: Parachute time Smallest (10x10) 0.73 seconds Medium (20x20) 1 minute and 7 seconds Largest (30x30) 2 minutes and 45 seconds

  8. Results results: The smallest parachute lands faster than the others at 73 seconds conclusions: My hypothesis is correct the smallest parachute will land faster.

  9. What is the different of qualitative and quantitative experiments. A qualitative research is based on a human problem but it haven’t had a theory/ haven't been exactly publicized because it hadn't had proof; so basically it is making this to make it real. It collects the data based on words, pictures. Qualitative research is used for case studies or any type of study A quantitative research is a goal to make this theory real and to show it is really a fact. If this style is collecting data by numerical values. Quantitative research is used when doing experiments or a survey.
