Physical Activity & Nutrition Branch Mission Statement The Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Branch's mission is to reverse the rising tide of obesity and chronic diseases among North Carolinians, by helping them to eat smart, move more and achieve a healthy weight.
A multidisciplinary team comprised of over 40 statewide partners working together to increase opportunities for eating smart and moving more. The team oversees the implementation of the North Carolina Obesity Plan. The NC Division of Public Health is a partner under the NC Department of Health and Human Services.

Worksites Eating Smart and Moving More provides resources that enable worksites to create wellness programs that are tailored to their employees needs and interests.
