  2. Fish • Fish are not mammals; they are just fish like sharks and clownfish etc. • There are 40 known species of flying fish.

  3. Heron Great Blue Heron • The great blue heron is the largest heron and is found mostly in north America. • Great blue herons look giant in flight with a 6 foot wingspan.

  4. Frogs • Frogs can see forwards, backwards and sideways all at the same time. • Frogs don’t close their eyes even when they’re sleeping. • Some brightly coloured frogs are often poisonous.

  5. Beaver • The beaver has huge front teeth. • Even though they have giant front teeth, beavers only eat plants. • Beavers mostly sleep at day and are awake at night which means they are nocturnal.

  6. Otter • Otters can hold their breath underwater for up to 8 minutes. • An otter’s tail is 1/3 of its body length • An otter’s scientific name is Lutra lutra.

  7. Kingfisher • A kingfisher’s scientific name is Alcedo Atthis. • Kingfishers eat fish and aquatic insects. • Kingfishers live in Europe. • Kingfishers are 10 cm (4 inches.)

  8. Moose • Moose don’t live in river’s; they live at the side of one. • Moose are the largest of the deer family.

  9. Mallard Duck • The scientific name for the Mallard Duck is Anas Platyrhynchos. • Mallard Ducks will grow to about two feet long and weigh around 2 ½ pounds. QUACK QUACK!!!
