  4. rhetoric the art of making persuasive speeches to influence the thought and conduct of an audience

  5. appeasement to give in to someone who is threatening to fight in order to keep the peace

  6. concession the act of conceding or yielding a privilege, an item, or an argument

  7. internment to confine and watch a group of people for the protection of society, especially in wartime

  8. genocide attempting to or eliminating an entire race of people

  9. anti-semitic strong dislike of Jewish people

  10. Holocaust systematic mass execution of millions of people during WWII by the Nazis

  11. rationing Controlling the amount of something (i.e. sugar; gasoline; plastic)

  12. embargo Not allowing a shipment of goods into or out of a nation’s ports

  13. Blitzkrieg Lightening warfare; German military strategy during WWII

  14. superpowers U.S. and Soviet Union after WWII
