Traditional practice for curing diseases using locally available medicinal plants is a culture adopted by Indians from prehistoric period. Leguminosae members are also used as medicine for various diseases; one among them is P. aculeata. This is selected for the study. Identification and assessment of therapeutic potential of nature products derived from medicinal plants have led to the discovery of innovate and economical drugs to treat several diseases, which includes chronic wounds. In vitro cell based scratch assay is an appropriate and inexpensive method for initial understanding
