2. What are the Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT)? The Ohio Graduation Tests are tests that students must pass in order to earn an Ohio high school diploma
They measure content learned through the end of 10th grade in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies.
3. Why do we have to take the test? Make sure that Ohio students who receive a high school diploma show at least a high school level of achievement
Measure the level of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies skills expected of students by the end of 10th grade
Meet federal law for high school testing
4. Testing Structure I. Students take one test per day.
II. Students have up to 2 ˝ hours to take each test.
III. A scientific calculator will be provided to students for the mathematics and science tests.
IV. A mathematics formula sheet will be provided for the mathematics test.

Use knowledge to rule out wrong answers to help you guess wisely.
Your test booklet is your scrap paper- so cross out unnecessary or extra information, underline key words, or what you dont need.
Find the distracters in the m/c questions.
Never leave a question blank- Use your power of knowing that you have a better chance of getting the question right!
Dont waste your energy trying to race others or on one question going over it again and again.
Practice good time management- answer the easier questions first so you can spend more time with the harder ones or go back and check your answers.
