Planning Grant Purpose of HMEP Planning Grant is to provide financial assistance to LEPC’s • Develop, improve, implement & enhance emergency plans • Commodity Flow Study • Within your jurisdiction • Between your jurisdiction and another State or Indian Country • The development and maintenance of a system to keep this information current
Planning Grant • Exercises which test emergency plans • Response procedures for emergencies involving transportation of hazardous & radioactive materials • Assess local response capabilities • Assess the need for Regional Hazardous Material Response Teams

Scheduling Courses • May request a course if you are: Elected Official, Fire/Police Chief, Emergency Management Coordinator, Public Works Director, Training Officer. • Recruit 25+ students per class(Absolute minimum is 15) • Provide a ADA approved classroom • Approved fire training facility (when required)
