Introduction To The Novel *The story takes place in a place name Oakland in the summer *In the beginning of the story, a girl name Darcy had a ordeal to overcome: a secret that she didn’t want to tell anybody because she was too ashamed to admit it *Her friends are getting a feeling that something is wrong with Darcy
Protagonist/Antagonist Characters • Antagonist • Brisana: Used to be best friends with Darcy, she is a girl with a boyfriend name Duane. She was arguing because of something about Duane • Duane: Cooper boss‘s son that mess with Copper and the other workers during their work. He’s also Brisana’s boyfriend • Protagonist • Darcy: The followed through out the book. She’s tries to keep her secret and tell certain people, but she can’t find anyone
Protagonist/Antagonist • Antagonist • Tarah: A good loyal friend to Darcy. She tries to figure out what is wrong with Darcy • Cooper: Tarah’s boyfriend. He works at Nye’s Garage, where Duane annoys him during his work. He tries to help Darcy along with Tarah
Central Conflict *Darcy trying to decide to keep the secret in and decide who to tell it to because it is eating her alive *She wanted to tell her parents, but in the beginning something looks like it worrying them so she didn’t want the pressure them *She wanted to tell her friend, but she didn’t want them to judge her

My Thoughts I thought this book was a pretty good read. It was pretty dramatic, yet sadly it could happen in real life. This book shows how people can be cruel yet it show that it takes courage to tell about many things. I enjoyed the book.
