CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • Align Spinal System on Patient. • Open the velcro straps on one side of the front of the brace. • Logroll the patient to his side and center the posterior section under the patient’s low back. • Roll patient to his back and reattach the velcro to close the brace. • Adjust straps for maximum support • Reach back and pull both bottom straps from the side closure forward simultaneously. • Reach back and pull both top straps forward simultaneously to tighten. • Readjust for maximum comfort

  14. CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • With patient laying supine, slide the posterior section under the patient. “Logroll” the patient carefully if required

  15. CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • Be sure back portion of brace is aligned properly.

  16. CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • Place front panel on abdomen with top of panel at approximately the xyphoid process.

  17. CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • Reattach the velcro at the side to close the brace.

  18. CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System • Adjust straps by pulling both bottom straps forward simultaneously. • Repeat with both top straps.

CALIFORNIA™ Soft Spinal System KEY BENEFITS • Both front and back panels are made of ABS plastic and can be heated and modified with a heat gun. • Panels are easy to trim. • Heat panel with heat gun • Cut with strong scissors • Panels can be removed, • Creates a more flexible system • Allows patient’s muscles to work more • Easier to tolerate for elderly patients

  21. KEY BENEFITS Models available for men and women • Female version is more pear shaped than male, with greater widths at the hips than the male version. • Front panels are not as high on the female version, reducing the chance of breast irritation
