Requirements for the OSSD Compulsory credits (total of 18) • 4 credits in English ( 1 credit per grade) • 1 credit in French as a second language • 3 credits in mathematics ( at least 1 credit in grade 11 or 12) • 2 credits in science • 1 credit in Canadian history • 1 credit in Canadian geography • 1 credit in the arts (music, art, dance or drama) • 1 credit in health and physical education • ½ credit in civics and ½ credit in career studies

  5. Diploma Requirements (Cont..) • 1 credit in English, or a third language, or French, or a Native Language, or a senior Social science/humanities, or Canadian and World studies, or Guidance & Career Education (NOT GLC 2O), or CO-OP • 1 additional credit in Health and Physical education, or Business studies, or an additional credit in the Arts (music, visual arts, dance or drama), or French or CO-OP • 1 additional credit in Science (grade 11 or 12) or Technological education (grades 9-12), or French, or Computer Studies or CO-OP Religion credits: 4 Optional/elective credits (total of 8): • Courses of the student’s choice, selected from the full list of courses available in the school

  6. Requirements for Post-Secondary Options • College • OSSD with grade 12 English • Apprenticeships • Many now require OSSD • University • Minimum 6 4U/4M courses
