  2. Module Objectives Upon completion of this module, the viewer should be able to Navigate the Following UDF PreOrder Tool and Forms: • Fiber Tool• Manual Inquiry (IRI) Forms• Manual FVQP Forms

  3. Overview PreOrder processing for UDF is manual. The Order process is now automated with the help of ASR Forms.

  4. The PreOrder Process uses three tools: • Fiber Network Tool • IRI inquiry form • FV/QPform

  5. Loop Fiber Inventory Tool You may find out if there is UDF connectivity and spare capacity using The Fiber Data Reports (formerly called The Loop Fiber Inventory Tool). In order to access The Fiber Data Reports you must obtain a digital certificate from Qwest.

  6. Five PreOrder Steps A) Establish Collocation B) The CLEC conducts research on existing Dark Fiber using The Fiber Data Reports. C) The CLEC submits an IRI (Initial Records Inquiry) for UDF.

  7. Five PreOrder Steps con’t D) To assure availability of the UDF, the CLEC completes and submits a Field Verification and Quote Preparation (FV/QP) Form E) The WSST (Wholesale Service Support Team) contacts the CLEC and reports the availability of UDF.
