  7. Participate In Class • Positive feedback • “Do you Mean” or restate the problem as you see it. • Answer questions. • Ask questions, don’t let the pace overwhelm you. • Be attentive!

Compass Test And Math Placement • Don’t be embarrassed if you place in a math class < 1000 • You are not alone! • Placement is so students can succeed-not fail! • If the class seems to easy, then aim for a 100%! • If you truly feel misplaced, ask your teacher, advisor, or talk to the Division Chair!
