Orange County Fire Rescue Bike Team: A History of Service and Commitment

This presentation outlines the history, overview, services, deployments, benefits, costs, and future plans of the Orange County Fire Rescue Department's Bike Team. Established in 1995, it was the first bike team in Florida and aimed to promote bicycle safety. With 10 bikes and 25 members, the team responds to medical calls, auto accidents, fire alarms, and more. Their deployments range from bike trails to large events like the Florida Mall and the Orange County Convention Center. The team's quick response in high-traffic areas saves costs and enhances public safety. Future plans include expanding coverage to UCF Stadium events and training more members for natural disaster response.
