  2. The Olympic Games Lots of people in the world are fond of sport ,because it is not only healthy, but also spectacular and exiting. For these reason people have started the Olympic games

  3. The first Olympic Games took place in Athens.

  4. The old tradition to hold the Games every 4 years was also revived. At certain times, like the 2nd World War, the games were forbidden.

  5. There are two types of Olympic Games:Summer Olympics and Winter Olympics

  6. The firstWinter Olympic Games were born in France in 1924.

  7. A colourful flag with 5 interlinked rings. The colours of that rings are blue, yellow,black,green and red.

  8. In 1980 the 22th Olympic games took place in Moscow.

  9. In 2014 Olympic Games were held in Sochi

  10. This year a bear, a leopard and a hare have become symbols of the winter Olympic Games

  11. The Bear- Possesses the real sports pressure and constantly aspires to new sports tops

  12. Barsik- Strong animal, the great climber

  13. Hare- a born skater

  14. The ray and the snowflake- Two complete antitheses, which can be together

  15. This year there have been 223 Russian athletes. We are proud of them.

  16. We have the 1st place in medal count in Olympic and Paralympic Games

  17. Baron Pier de Coubertin-initiator of the organization of the modern Olympic Games

  18. I have asked a lot of pupils from my class if they knew who Pier de Coubertinwas. As it turned out only 10 % knew who he was. So, we need to be more interested in sport and its traditions. I think these Olympic Games will influence on everyone and every child will choose a kind of sport he likes and will join the sports club.
