  8. Life long learning • Immigrating to Canada we face several challenges. • One is the recognition of our credentials. • Sometimes credentials are not recognized in Canada. • Then we have to set new goals and adjust to the new situation.

  10. Unfortunately her teaching degree was not recognized. Because it would have taken her 4 years to re-qualify as a teacher, she decided to become a licensed optician. For the beginning she worked as a technician despite her lack of English. A story of life-ling learning

  11. 2004 she took courses at Red River College to become a licensed optician. While she was working and studying she could improve her English. Finally, 2006 she completed her course work. A story of life-ling learning
