What is teaching? Teaching involves identifying the expected outcomes in behavioral terms, because teachers, should expect the learners to change in behavior temporarily or better still permanently, as a result of having learned. (Cohen, L., Manion, L., & Morrison, K. 2011)

Teaching and Learning Strategies for iEARN Zambia Teaching strategies refer to methods used to help students learn the desired course contents and be able to develop achievable goals in the future. A Learning strategy is an individual’s approach to complete a task… Therefore, teachers who teach learning strategies teach students how to learn using the 21st century skills

Project Based Learning Project-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom approach in which students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems. Collaborative Learning Collaborative learning is a method of teaching and learning in which students team to explore and create a meaningful project. 21st Century Learning Skills 21st century learning refers to the core competencies- collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving that will help students thrive in todays’ world.
Critical Thinking “I’m calling on our nation’s education chiefs to develop standards that measure whether students possess 21st century skills like problem-solving and critical thinking”. Barack Obama , 44th President of the United States Critical Thinking Skills includes: • Communication • Creativity • Evaluation • Analytical • Problem Solving • Interpretation
ICT tools for Global Projects - iEARN Zambia Technology refers to the collection of tools that make it easier to use, create, manage and exchange information. “Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important”. (Bill Gates, 2010)

Conclusion Therefore, using the best Teaching and Learning Strategies such as the Project Based Learning strategy, the Collaborative learning strategy and the 21st century Learning strategy can help both the student and the teacher to acquire and enhance technical skills, technological skills, critical thinking, research skills, creative skills, organizational skills to participate fully in iEARN global projects.
