  3. Key role • Development of preferred practices • Scale up planning • Liaison with ICTC Monitoring, Impact, & Evaluation Working Group

  4. Terms of reference • To review ICTC preferred practices for MDA and other documents, proposing updates where relevant • To evaluate the need for and support the development of capacity strengthening tools • To advise field testing of relevant initiatives • To identify opportunities for learning, research and innovation

  5. Terms of reference • To stay informed of ongoing research and programmatic innovation and disseminate available opportunities to the ICTC • To liaise with the Monitoring, Impact, and Evaluation WG regarding national programs’ progress toward global trachoma elimination goals • To identify linkages within the NTD and other relevant communities and develop opportunities to build relationships and encourage active engagement.

  6. Activities undertaken so far Established a Google group Technical review of the “A, F, & E” section of the Trachoma Action Plan (TAP)

  7. Priorities foraction Trachoma MDA microplanning guidelines Trachoma MDA trainers guide Advise on assessment of impact of TAPs • Need to establish evidence of their impact • What TAP components are most useful • (possibly in liaison with other WGs?)
