Mayor • The mayor is elected by the citizens of the community. • He/she is the leader of the community government. • They work with the city council and county commission to make laws.
City Council • The city council makes and pass laws in the community. • They try and improve the city by holding town meetings. • Most city councils have five to nine members. • Must be 18 years old to be a member.
County Commission • County commissioners run the county government. • Decide things like the speed limit and what roads need to be repaired. • They provide courts and provide fire and police protection.
