  4. PlotBeginning Its Maggies first day of third grade. Maggie tried to get away from the fourth grade boys who called her cootie.

  5. PlotMiddle • She couldn’t read cursive. Also, she couldn’t write cursive.

  6. Plot End • Maggie learned how to write and read cursive. And the fourth grade boys did not tease her any more. And the teacher was so happy that she gave Maggie a big hug.

  7. Author’s Message • The author wants you to know that cursive is a very important thing to learn in life.

  8. Favorite quote from the book My favorite quote from the book is on page 40: it said, Dear Maggie, if you are Sorry So Sloggy(or did you mean sloppy) Why didn't you copy your letter over? Love, Hilda Madden.
