  3. Our Mission As a charity, our mission is to enable people to live later life well inspired by our Methodist roots

  4. Our Vision By 2024, we will have connected our communities, realising our potential as One MHA - to increase the reach, impact and quality of care and support we provide to people in later life.

  5. Our Strategic Objectives 2019-24

Review of Property and Services • Portfolio Review of our Care Homes, Housing with Care and Support and Live at Home: • MHA in a community • MHA property standards • Sustainability • Financial performance • New Asset Management Strategy • Strengthen our knowledge of each of our investment needs • Identify assets for remodelling • Identify areas of possible disposal, re-development or new development

Proposition: Strengthening the Methodist Church and MHA Partnership • Mixed communities, Integrated within and Influenced by the wider community • Facilitated by Methodist Church/MHA partnership : mobilising volunteers of all ages • Building upon the work that both organisations already undertake in an area. • Working closely to forge stronger links and deliver a long term legacy and model a range of housing and support options for older people in a wider community setting. • Developing a framework for innovative ways in which the Church and MHA could work together: Eco initiatives, Apprenticeships and Local Labour and Suppliers • Operating from shared values. • Financially sustainable, unlocking the value of existing assets. • A base for collaborative working between the Church and MHA.

Methodist Church & MHA Communities • Care Home, Retirement Living, general housing, apartments, Live at Home, local Church. • Mixed Tenure: rental, sale, open market and affordable • Accessible to the wider community. • MHA and the Church range of activities with links to the surrounding community: • Music, concerts, choirs and dancing • Music therapy, Chaplaincy • Activities for toddlers, teenagers, parents and carers, older people. • Fitness classes, Pet therapy, Care Homes Quiz league, Alzheimer’s Table tennis therapy • Integrate the communities • Existing activities • Shared facilities / activities • Live at Home project to reach out to older people in the surrounding communities and act as the focus for recruiting and co-ordinating volunteers across the project • Possibly Incorporating of a domiciliary care outreach service to older people in the wider community
