Initial Requirements • 17-21 years of age • At least a 9th grade reading level • Orientation meeting between: student, parent/guardian, and SST leads to the development of PEP • Educational Options • Academic Expectations • Behavioral expectations • PE/Health (2.5) Credits • Careers (.5) Credit • Government (.5) Credit

  3. Requirements in Program • 15 Hours a week in school • 3 hours/day • 5 days/week=15 • Prepare for GED tests • Career Portfolio • Personal Growth Presentation • 90% Attendance or out of program • 1.5 hours/week • 9 days/semester • 40 Community Service Hours

  4. Additional Requirements: Graduation Defense Oral Exam • Demonstrate evidence of community service or paid work • Present a resume • Application for post-secondary education or fulltime employment • Answer 2 questions in each of the four major academic areas from a prepared list • Present timeline showing personal development from freshman year to present • Share goals for future with a plan to obtain those goals

  5. Parent/Guardian Involvement • Standard 4 grade reports and 2 parent-teacher conferences/year • Additional 4 progress reports and 2 additional informational letters via mail/email • Optional quarterly review meetings, if requested • Fall Orientation • Parent Surveys • Contract of Support

  6. Community Help • Alternative Education Advisory Council • Association of Commerce • Loin's Club • Police • Fire • UW-Milwaukee • MATC • Job shadowing • Work-study • Service Learning
