Note to Readers Throughout this presentation, • We have used the terms “nurses” and “regulated nurses” to describe the three groups of regulated nursing professionals as a whole: • Registered nurses (including nurse practitioners); • Licensed practical nurses; and • Registered psychiatric nurses. • We have used the term “nursing” to refer collectively to Canada’s three regulated nursing professions, unless otherwise indicated. • Data presented excludes NPs and RPNs in Yukon and LPNs in Nunavut.
