  1. GPTO, Guardian Parent/Teacher Organization This organization is open to all parents, guardians, teachers, school staff and other adult family members. The GPTO consists of an Executive Board and several Committees. We are responsible for ensuring your children have the best experiences possible at Good Shepherd Academy. We promote Christian and Family values through various activities and events coordinated by each of the following committees. Fundraising Committee The Fundraising Committee provides tuition reduction opportunities to assist families. They encourage school wide participation in fundraisers that aid in financing specific projects for the school. They conduct monthly meetings to explore the many options available to meet our financial needs. Guardian Ambassadors The Guardian Ambassadors are a voluntary committee of parents/guardians that handle in-classroom events such as: Halloween Party Christmas Party Scholastic Book Fair The committee also assists in many school activities that require supervision of the children. To become a member of this committee there are three (3) requirements: Child Abuse Clearance Criminal Background Check VIRTUS Training Membership & Marketing Committee The focus of the Membership & Marketing Committee is to: Keep accurate records of the GPTO membership Create and maintain the GSA identity Coordinate visibility events for the school Publish GSA promotional materials Coordinate GSA publicity Publish the GPTO Journal Home of the Spirit Squad / Spirit Store Student / Social Activities Committee The Student/Social Activities Committee is responsible for planning all after-school activities for students, parents and teachers. Upcoming events for 2012-2013 school year include: Back to School Bash Breakfast with Santa Breakfast with Easter Bunny Movie Nights School Dances And many more fun, food and family nights!
