  1. Sweet and Savory – Two Hot Weather Treats Your Pup Will Love The summer has unofficially started, which means temperatures are going to start spending more timein the upper digits. Hot weather calls for refreshing treats. So while you are enjoying your favorite chilled dessert, why not whip something up for Fido? Like all of us at NuVet, you probably enjoy making your dog happy, so why not do it with something yummy! In an effort to keep your summer sweet and fun we are sharing two simple popsicle recipes your pooch is sure to enjoy!

  2. Sweet and Savory – Two Hot Weather Treats Your Pup Will Love Strawberry Banana Fido Fruit Bars Ingredients: 4 Cups of Water 2 Cups of chopped bananas 2 Cups of Chopped strawberries 1 tbsp. of molasses

Sweet and Savory – Two Hot Weather Treats Your Pup Will Love Strawberry Banana Fido Fruit Bars   Recipe: • Step 1: Pour the water in a bowl • Step 2: Mix in the molasses and stir until dissolved • Step 3: Pour in all the fruit • Step 4: Pour mixture into popsicle molds, ice trays or small paper cups. • Step 5: Freeze. If adding a popsicle stick, insert into mixture when partially set then let freeze completely. Veggies, such as carrots, and dog chewies can make great popsicle sticks.

Sweet and Savory – Two Hot Weather Treats Your Pup Will Love Porky Puppy Pigsicles Ingredients: • 1 Cup of yogurt (plain is good but vanilla is great too!) • 1/3 Cup of applesauce • ¼ Cup of milk • 3 tbsps. Of real maple syrup • 6 tbsps. Of bacon bits – avoid soy bacon bits and try to get the real bacon bits.

Sweet and Savory – Two Hot Weather Treats Your Pup Will Love Porky Puppy Pigsicles Recipe: • Step 1: In a bowl combine all of the liquid ingredients. • Step 2: Add the bacon bits to the liquid ingredients. • Step 3: Pour mixture into popsicle molds, ice trays or small paper cups. • Step 4: Freeze. If adding a popsicle stick, insert into mixture when partially set then let freeze completely. Veggies, such as carrots, and dog chewies can make great popsicle sticks.
