HMoD’s Contribution • HMOD’s Contribution as “End-user” • Border security, surveillance and control (sea, land, air) • Existing structure of special services for public alert and mobilization (Fire fighting, conservation of the environment, protection from fluids, meteorological services) • Extensive experience in the operation of fire fighting aircraft (CL215/415, CH-47 Chinook) and special purpose aircraft C-130 MAFFS etc.. • Search & Rescue Operations (AS332C1 Super Puma etc.) • Design and operation of home-built UAVs • Extensive experience in multinational cooperation in air / land /sea operations, within the frame of NATO, UN, bilateral exercises etc. • Cyber Defense • CBRN threats

HMoD’s co-funded Projects • DMEDP is responsible for the implementation and management of externally co- funded projects on behalf of the HMOD, as follows : • NSRF (2007-2013) – 15 Projects – 60 million euros budget • NSRF (2014-2020) – 25 Projects – 150 million euros budget (expected) • R&D (2011-…) – 16 Projects – 5 million euros budget

HMoDRole in the Project HMoD’s contribution to the Project Special Joint CBRN Unit : Rapid Response Team Conducts detection, identification, decontamination and urgent medical support Holds the infrastructure and the experience of 2004 Olympic Games preparation , but also has contribute in real accidents NATO certified to provide force protection in operations
