Warm-Up • What is your reaction to Education of Little Tree? How do you feel about the ending? How do you feel about the book overall?
Courage Essay • After reading “The Scarlet Ibis,” The Education of Little Tree, and “The Most Dangerous Game,” compare the ways in which the authors represented courage in their texts. Choose a character from one of the stories and argue why you believe that character exhibited true courage as compared to other characters from the other texts. Make sure to use extensive evidence from the texts to support your points.
