  5. Getting or making plans for your project. • On-line search • Woodworking magazines • Make your own plans.

  6. Choosing the right wood for your project. Hardwood Anybody? Domestic Wood Exotic Wood

  7. Tools you will need to build and complete your project. • Table Saw/ Skill Saw • Router • Drill • Sander • Tape Measure • Pencil • Wood Glue

  8. Building and Finishing Your Project. • Use careful construction. • Measure twice cut once. There are no board strechers. • Pay attention to detail. • Thoroughly sand your project. • Pick an appropriate finish for your project.

  9. Safety. • Tools can bite!

  10. Satisfaction on a job well done. • It feels good when the job comes together.
